AMH and the love life

EI: And it shows in the "The Dead Zone" series. The episodes are honest and earnest, like the episode where you have a romance that never really transpires except in your head or your visions rather. And I thought that maybe ESP is good for the love life in some way.
AMH: [Laughter] What is interesting about the show is that I feel that a lot of the serialized episodes are my favorite because as an actor going through what I deem this to be leading man school, which is the starring in your own show, and working with all these talented people day in an day out, it is an opportunity to do different types of shows. Although I favor the serialized shows because it lets me really step up to the plate and take a stand and be a protagonist and the whole thing. And we do other things like this episode "Precipitate" where I play six or seven different characters and then we did "Deja Voodoo" which had a more romantic flare to it. We can take a risk, so that we don't always do a sort of cardboard cutout rendition of what the show is and what people expect it to be. And that is exciting too because the show is evolving.
This Sunday's episode (June 27th, 2004) is entitled "Cold Hard Truth" and guest stars Richard Lewis. Lewis plays a radio shock jock who really goes after Johnny Smith (Hall). Hall told me that Lewis was not the first choice for the shock jock role, rather, Michael Richards was who everyone originally wanted. Richards couldn't do the role so, Lewis took over which was great, according to Hall, because Lewis, who may have been a second choice, was always Hall's first choice. And Lewis is great because he captured the character which is funny but bitter according to Hall. When Johnny confronts Lewis' character an odd friendship develops.
Hall told me that Lewis the comic is so reminiscent of Lenny Bruce to him because all of Lewis' standup is autobiographical and he always talks about his demons and challenging his demons with alcohol and everything. Hall said that Lewis' candidness and honesty made it great to work with him on the show especially given the fact that Hall was directing the episode. In this weekend's episode, "Cold Hard Truth," Hall told me that Lewis gives a great performance one that is good dramatically and funny.

Et ca montre dans la série DEAD ZONE.Les épisodes sont honnêtes comme l'épisode ou vous avez une aventure qui n'arrive jamais vraiment mis a part dans votre tête ou dans vos visions.
Et je pensais peut être ESP( je ne sais pas le traduire ) et bon pour la vie amoureuse d'une certaine facon

AMH:( rire) Ce qui est intérressant dans la série c'est que bcp d'épisodes sont mes préfèrés parce qu' un acteur qui a voulu l'être depuis l'école qui a le role principal dans une série et travaille avec des gens talentueux c'est une opportunité de faire différents types de séries .Bien que je préfère les séries qui se suivent parce que ca me permet d'évolué pas à pas de participé , d'être un personnage et tout ca .
Et nous faisons d' autres choses comme l'épisode précipitate dans le quel je joue 6 ou 7 personnages et ensuite nous avons fait déjà voodoo qui est une approche plus romantique.
Nous pouvons prendre des risques pour que la série ne soit pas toujours comme elle l'est ou comme les gens attendent qu'elle soit.
C'est aussi excitant parce que la série évolue.
L'épisode de dimanche (27 juin 2004) s'intitule cold hard truth dans lequel joue richard lewis .
Lewis joue un animateur de radio choquant et qui en veut vraiment à johnny smith.
Hall m'a dit que lewis n'était pas le 1er choix pour le role de l'animateur mais plutôt michael richards que tout le monde voulait au départ.
Richards n'a pas put joué le rôle s'est donc lewis qui l' a fait ce qui était génial selon Hall parce que lewis qui était un second choix avait toujours était un 1er choix pour Hall .
Et lewis est génial parce qu'il capte l'attention avec ce personnage à la fois drôle et amer selon Hall.
Quand johnny rencontre lewis une étrange amitié ce développe .
Hall m'a dit que lewis lui rappelait le personnage de BD lenny bruce parce que le rôle de lewis est autobiographique qu'il parle toujours de ses démons et qu'il éssaies de les combattre avec l'alcool et tout celà.
Hall a dit que la candeur et l'honnèteté de lewis qui l'ont rendu génial pour travaillé avec lui dans la série surtout du fait que Hall a réalisé cet épisode.
Dans cet épisode du week end cold hard thruth Hall m'a dit que lewis donne une grande performance a la fois dramatique et drole . (28) (28)
